Bad Jazz is an improvisational sound art trio based in San Francisco. Using invented instruments, electronic toys, percussion and piano they create roughly rendered sonic landscapes.

Sax/bass/drum power trio JOY ON FIRE originally formed in Baltimore, MD in 2009, and has since played up and down the East Coast, including gigs at: Brooklyn’s Shapeshifter Lounge; SoWeBo Fest and Windup Space in Baltimore; The Purple Fiddle in West Virginia; and the The Pour House and Asheville Music Hall in North Carolina. This past May, the group hosted a month-long residency in NYC at SoHo's The Cupping Room Cafe. Now based in North Jersey, JOY ON FIRE recently completed its second album of Black Sabbath meets Eric Dolphy inspired “punk-jazz fuzz-rock,” entitled Devils & Monsters.

Christopher Douthitt is a composer, guitarist, and songwriter from Spokane, Washington. His music draws on many traditions, from the twentieth-century avant-garde to American primitive guitar to free improvisation to spoken word. He writes for and fronts the Austin-based band, the Glyphs.
