Sentimental Parlour Music is the debut album of composer/sound artist Desmond Knight. The opening track "Pool" is an underwater nocturne that fuses Knight’s recording of pool tubes humming in the night with a duet for soprano and soprano saxophone overlaid by composer Noah Kaplan. Knight’s singular catalogue of captured and found ephemeral sound is cut up and reassembled to form the broad worlds of "Bridge" and "July 4th Fragment."
"...In the cross-hairs of a sniper hiding in the ferns of Debussy kissing your eyes in the mud fucking divine croaking kingdom of time..." Hampton Fancher (excerpt from Sentimental liner notes)
